Dr. MO
MO is a world traveler whose journey from Cairo to Edmonton was driven by a passion for preserving teeth and maintaining healthy, aesthetic gums through Periodontics.
After three years of advanced clinical training, he completed an additional three years of research exploring the genetic link between gum disease and heart disease, becoming the first PhD graduate in Periodontology at the University of Alberta. Along the way, MO also completed postgraduate training in Oral Cancer at the University of Dundee in Scotland.
In the dental chair, MO focuses on helping patients maintain their natural teeth for as long as possible using both surgical and non-surgical techniques. When needed, he provides dental implants and soft tissue grafts to restore function, health, and appearance. He has a passion for teaching, and patients can always expect clear explanations and education as part of their care.
Outside the office, MO enjoys staying active at the gym, practicing yoga and meditation, and spending time with his family—most often alongside his wife, Sara, cheering on their daughter, Laila, at gymnastics competitions.
